Environmental Health Services
Environmental Health is a branch of public health that is concerned with all aspects of the natural and build environment that may affect human health.  We inspect and enforce health and safety regulations for food service (restaurants, temporary food booths, mobile food units and school food programs), public pools and spas, summer camps, motels, hotels, and RV parks.  We are responsible for providing assistance and regulating many of the public drinking waters supplies in Union County.  We provide food handler certification.  We investigate water, food, and vector borne diseases, and high levels of lead in the blood of young children.  Environmental Health also follows up on complaints by the public on the facilities that we license and inspect.
