CHD Services
CHD is a private not-for-profit organization providing
privatized public health and integrated mental health
services in Eastern Oregon. We are unlike any
other organization in Oregon. Below you can read

Drug (A&D)
Our program offers high quality services to
adolescents and adults who are experiencing problems
related to alcohol and drug use. Our
highly-trained staff is committed to helping by
providing education, support and honest feedback.
CHD is certified by the State of Oregon Office of
Alcohol and Drug Abuse Programs. We have offered
mental health and addiction treatment services to Union
County for over 20 years.

Environmental Health
Environmental Health is a branch of public health that
is concerned with all aspects of the natural and build
environment that may affect human health. We
inspect and enforce health and safety regulations for
food service (restaurants, temporary food booths, mobile
food units and school food programs), public pools and
spas, summer camps, motels, hotels, and RV parks.

Mental Health
To ensure public and personal safety, the CHD Crisis
Team provides 24-hour quality screening, evaluation, and
stabilization to persons in Union County experiencing
mental health emergencies.

Public Health
CHD serves as Union County's Public Health Authority.
We provide services like family planning (maternal and
child health), communicable disease prevention and
treatment, Women, Infants and Children (WIC) nutritional
program, adolescent health and bioterrorism

Developmental
Disabilities
Developmental Disabilities are a diverse group of severe
chronic conditions that may include mental retardation,
cerebral palsy, autism, epilepsy or other neurological
that impair intellectual functioning and/or adaptive

Prevention
Services include teen pregnancy prevention, sexually
transmitted disease infection and prevention, teen peer
helper programs and student assistant programs for at

Veterans Services assists veterans in Union county and their dependents in obtaining Veterans

Other Services
CHD offers far more then just the services traditionally
provided by county health departments. Other
services include EASA (Early Assessment and Support
Alliance), Enhanced Care Services (ECS), Regional HIV Planning and Regional
Breast and Cervical Cancer outreach and detection.
