Temperament Talk Training Opportunities
- If you would like some more background in temperament theory and some
"hands-on" experience with the curriculum, we offer a training for people who
will be using Temperament Talk with parents.
- The training is primarily experiential, with days one and two
focusing on theory and day three focusing on facilitator training. Enrollment is limited
to forty participants to assure learning goals are met and instructor attention is ample.
- We encourage you to contact other service providers in your area who
would be interested in Temperament Talk at their facility, in order to increase
participation and reduce per-person training costs.
- Past participants have found the training fast-paced, comprehensive,
useful and fun. The interactive exercises demonstrate and reinforce your understanding of
how temperament traits interact. Working from our adult selves, we see temperament masked
by skills acquired over years of development. Understanding this process helps you
facilitate it in others.
- Training costs are bid on an individualized basis. We will discuss
scheduling, location, travel time and expenses, number and background of participants,
credentials of trainers, and type of Continuing Ed hours desired, if any. We will then
negotiate a fee with you.
- We offer a 10% discount on Kit orders placed in conjunction with a
training.
- Our guarantee to you is this: attend day one. If, for any reason,
you do not feel that you have gained information an d skills to significantly improve the
way you work with parents, we will gladly refund the per-participant cost of the training
to the payer. You can only win.
- CEU credits are available in most states for nurses, counselors and
social workers.
- Training inquiries can be made by contacting us at The Center for
Human Development Inc., 1100 K Avenue, La Grande, Or 97850, (541)
962-8880 or email: makubin@chdinc.org with the name and type of your
organization, your contact person, how and when to reach you, and the approximate number
of participants.
