Public Health National Accreditation
In 2017, CHD was awarded national accreditation from the Public Health Accreditation Board (PHAB) in Alexandria, Virginia. This is a very distinguished award that lets people know they can have great confidence in the quality of public health services CHD provides. CHD has been rigorously examined and meets national standards that promote quality improvements for public health.

CHD is one of only a select few public health departments in Oregon to have received PHAB accreditation. All of CHD's public health services were evaluated by the PHAB as part of the accreditation process, including its disease prevention program and food safety program.
